When was Torquay very popular with tourists? It has been popular for a long time! John McEnery lived here when lots of people had begun to come on holiday in the 1800s.

Interesting fact

Have you heard of the Woolly Mammoth? Do you think you would like to live with a bear? John McEnery worked out that people lived in Kent's Cavern at the same time as Woolly Mammoths and Cave Bears (although they didn't all live together in the same house!).
